Notwithstanding - Fear & Common Sense

    The "notwithstanding clause" has never been used in this country, despite contentious issues causing deep divisions - why is that? When Trudeau and the gang of eight sat around the backrooms of Toronttawa circa 1980 devising the scheme called " The Charter", they knew how deeply flawed it was! As they would never allow the 'sheeple' to have a referendum re: contents, they installed a safety valve to allow a 'legal' [?] way to keep the lid on the wrath of the citizens as the grand scheme was unleashed, for outrage and possible rebellion would be the result.

    This safety valve is one of those delusions that neo-libs sell  the dream of,  "opting out of political engineering through the notwithstanding scam" - a pure ploy of giving "power to the people" when giving none. The reality is;  by turning to Klein,  to rely on a "man"  to announce the NWC, is in  fact exercising the ultimate oxymoron; "to have a savior exercising rights to remove  'rights' "... only Canadians could invent this!

    And here is the brilliance of Trudeau! By opting out of  Charter "rights", the public would at at once realize for the first time, that "rights" are in fact, only a "lease", to be broken by  convenience! So why is this "brilliant"? Why would a man that wished to turn this country into the first international socialist haven for the Blue Flaggers give the people the escape hatch of the not withstanding clause? Because if you look to the fine print of Section 33, the power of the NWC rests with the politicians and not the people. Pray tell, what self respecting politician is going to threaten the grand scam of "responsible government" by exposing the people to the truth of the Charter;  "that by using Section 33, I will save you from somebody else's rights and therefore logically, "somebody else will remove one of yours, eventually".

    So what Klein is doing is what the Charter would have him do. Posture for the rights of the disenchanted but he will not carry through for the Charter would then be out of the closet (no pun intended), revealed  for what it actually is. A manifesto to be manipulated by men, and the only inalienable rights are those held by the omnipotent Supremes, anointed and appointed to do the bidding of guess who - the authors of our supposed "rights". Ya gotta love it!

    Mr. Klein will carry the fight to keep power but he will delegate his responsibility and thus the accountability to these "untouchables" - in a nutshell it is The ultimate shell game, 31 million suckered in by special agendas, never to wake up to the fact that the inalienable rights that our southern cousins enjoy, are nothing more than alien privileges offered up by an oligarchy shrouded in deception, a regime deceiving an entire nation .

    Of course, all delusion is removed when your particular ox is gored. Granting gay rights today and removing others tomorrow is a Charter Promise - for the Notwithstanding Clause implicitly expresses that rights are a privilege dispensed by those in power! The Lords giveth rights and the Lords taketh rights. The Charter of  Perks and Privilege works in wondrous ways!
